The Ghana Council for Graduates (GCG) is a national platform dedicated to empowering students, graduates, and young professionals with the skills, exposure, and confidence to excel beyond the classroom. Established to bridge the persistent gap between academia and the world of work, GCG connects universities, industries, and development partners to build a new generation of globally competitive and impact-driven graduates.
Through innovative programmes in workplace training, entrepreneurship development, and campus manufacturing, the Council champions hands-on learning and employability initiatives that prepare graduates to thrive in both local and international job markets. GCG also serves as a voice for graduate advancement, advocating for policy reforms, partnerships, and opportunities that strengthen Ghana’s human capital.
GCG is an affiliate of the African Council for Graduates and a member of the South African Council for Graduates. It is a catalyst that creates partnerships with industry, government, and universities/colleges to mold a generation of students and graduates who are producers (not consumers) and job creators (not mere job seekers).
Driven by excellence, collaboration, and integrity, GCG envisions a Ghana and Africa where every graduate is equipped to lead, innovate, and transform society with purpose.
“To empower Ghana’s students and graduates through targeted workplace training, industry exposure and campus-manufacturing initiatives, thereby equipping them to become competent, innovative and employable contributors in the national and African labor market.”
“To be the leading catalyst in Ghana and Africa for graduate employability, bridging academic institutions and industry to create a generation of skilled, entrepreneurial and industry-ready graduates.”
