Mr. Thamsanqa Maqubela
President African Council for Graduates

Welcome all! It is pleasing for us to introduce and launch the Ghana Council for Graduates. This is an innovation to groom employable and innovative students/graduates from all public and private colleges and universities in Ghana.

I am delighted that the Africa Council for Graduates has met with President Mahama on July 2, 2025 and seven cabinet ministers; including Dr Pelpuo of Employment, Jobs & Labour and Mr. Iddrisu Ministry of Education – amongst others in April to May 2025 in Ghana to spearhead the establishment of the Ghana Council for Graduates in 2025.

Our mission is backed by 30 years of graduate development through workplace training, industry exposure and skills transfer best practices. We call for the government of Ghana to support and fund the GCG initiative and its secretariat to empower students to become competent graduates.

Chairperson South African Council for Graduates

Good day, it is pleasing to be a part of the mission to prosper the Ghana and African youth through workplace training, industry experience, and campus manufacturing. I had the privilege to form part of the delegation from South Africa that visited offices of different Ghana government ministries to share some insights on how to make the mission a reality for Ghana graduates, colleges/universities and employers in April and May 2025.

At the South African Council for Graduates, we have been able to assist more than 30,000 unemployment graduates through partnership with different stakeholders such as Government; sector education and training authorities (SETA) for funding, setting baselines and policy), Universities and Colleges (providing relevant quality education for competent graduates and securing host employers) and Businesses/Employers – signing up as credible host employers to give more than 6,000 students employment opportunities through skills transfer per year.

Founder & CEO Ghana Council for Graduates

Dear Students, Graduates, Lecturers and CEOs. We are happy to welcome you to the home of Ghana’s future—our students and graduates with workplace training and skills transfer for Ghana citizens locally and abroad.

The Ghana Council of Graduates (GCG) has sought the affiliation of the African Council for Graduates in South Africa as a continental body to discharge its mission in Ghana. It is quite right that this affiliation is also backed by a solid partnership and franchise agreement with the South African Council for Graduates (SACGRA).

My team and I are here to serve our constituents, beneficiaries, partners, funders, host employers and government alike. Ours is a mission to align the skills and training processes of our students with the innovations of industry and commerce. Working together we can make Ghana a thriving nation.
